I grew up hating Brussels sprouts; in fact, it was a family joke for years about how we all disliked them, even though Mom kept making them. Then one day, I brought some home (just for the health of it). I made my husband cook them, but the smell was so delicious, I couldn't resist trying them. Yum! The trick is to steam them 10 minutes, then drain water and let sit with the cover on the pan until cool. Remove the outside leaves, trim the bottom and cut in half. Saute in duck fat (even better with bacon grease!) with a generous amount of sea salt. How could anyone not love Brussels sprouts served this way--and Stanley Family Farms have the best!
